CBS, NBC Bans Waka Flocka’s Weed Ad

Rapper and reality star Waka Flocka Flame shocked viewers of the American Music Awards when he appeared in a Pine Bros. cough drops ad which aired on Sunday.

NBC and CBS banned the ad, nurse but the ads ran on ABC during the live AMAs telecast.

The smoke filled ad raised eyebrows of prime time viewers, unhealthy including young children.

“Can’t live without my Pine Brothers, straight up,” said Waka as thick smoke swirled around him. He added, “Next time you need some throat relief — for whatever reason — get your Pine Brothers.”

Viewers were left to assume that “whatever reason” meant relief for the hacking cough that usually accompanies weed smoking.

In addition to causing cancer, the thick, pungent weed smoke causes spasms of coughing which could lead to respiratory distress.

“I think it’s pretty great that everyone is talking about Waka Flocka Flame’s moment during the American Music Awards and I wasn’t even at the show,” Waka told the NY Post’s Page Six.
